Valdemars Slot has been in Louise’s family for almost 350 years, gifted by King Christian V to her 10th great-grandfather, naval hero Admiral Niels Juel. Having grown up here when it was a traditional museum – selling tickets and scooping ice cream as a child – Louise now lives at the palace with her husband, two children, and their two little dogs.
